In partnership with KCC

NQT Conference

This is a great way for NQTs in your school to spend a day reflecting on their first month in school and to be upskilling in key areas for their day to day job.

  • The day will start with a review of ‘Safe Use of Social Media’
  • Grant Reeves (KCC NQT lead) will deliver a session entitled ‘What to expect in your NQT year’ which will end with a Q&A session.
  • NQTs will leave the day with an induction file to keep all CPD information in and key information about their school
  • Evaluations from previous NQT conferences show that an hours input around SEN interventions with demonstrations and time to use the resources are something the NQTs really value
  • This year there will be a new session at the conference – to guide NQTs through the process of writing risk assessments for school visits.
  • The day will end with a session about teaching PL with a focus on using interactive teaching style which can be transferred into other curriculum areas.
