CPD is delivered by outstanding teachers and specialist leaders from within our alliance have been designed to ensure teachers have access to relevant and exciting opportunities to improve their practice, throughout every stage of their career.
Schools Direct is run by a partnership between the National College for Teaching and Leadership, Shepway Teaching Schools Alliance, schools in our locality and Canterbury Christ Church University, an accredited teacher training provider.
The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership provides national recognition of your leadership development and professional achievement as a middle leader and will help you develop the skills; knowledge and confidence you need to lead a high-performing team in a school and to improve classroom practice.
The National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership will help you develop the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to be a highly effective senior leader. This qualification provides national recognition of your leadership development and professional achievement as a senior leader.
Research Projects offer a way for schools to learn from each other. It makes research more accessible to schools and creating links with higher education institution partners. To date, 3 schools and feeder nurseries have worked together to close the gap between disadvantaged children and others entering school. These schools have been extremely successful and will continue their regular networking in order to further improve life chances. Two primary groups of 6 schools each have worked with local artists to establish collaborative working between Folkestone schools and the Folkestone arts community to enrich the culture of the area and inform curriculum planning.
