Overview
During this course we will explore strategies that help young children develop a love of books and identify ways to enable practitioners to lay the foundations so that all children are ready to read.

Course Aims:

  • Develop a greater understanding of early reading development and reading behaviours.
  • Link early reading directly to the EYFS and Ofsted.
  • Explore effective ways to nurture reading development and foster reading enjoyment.
  • Provide practical ideas on how to support reluctant readers.
